Economic Development and Jobs

Treasurer Cowell recognizes the importance of economic development in building and maintaining a fiscally strong and prosperous North Carolina.  In addition, Cowell realizes that state innovation plays a significant role in driving economic development.

In March 2011, Cowell announced the creation of the $230 million Innovation Fund to help North Carolina companies expand their businesses and create jobs.
